PFS Policy Summit
PFS hosted a Policy Summit on December 7, 2010, “Partnerships for Success: PK-16 Linkages Toward a Stronger Community” at Exchange City on the Harborside Campus of Johnson & Wales University in Providence. The Policy Summit follows the March 2008 unveiling of Partnerships for Success (PFS), a project to document the collaborative relationships between institutions of higher education and PK–12 schools throughout Rhode Island. At the Policy Summit, the new PFS interactive Web Portal was unveiled and partnership videos presented. The keynote address on PK-16 Partnerships was delivered by Dr. Thomas Schnaubelt, Executive Director of the Haas Center for Public Service/Assistant Vice Provost for Student Affairs at Stanford University. A panel discussion with some of Rhode Island’s key education leaders followed, the focus of which was PK-16 Partnerships in the context of Rhode Island.
